Arbor Day Celebration!

Join Us for Our 3rd Annual...

When: Saturday April 26th, 2025 | 10:00AM-3:00PM

Where: Dow Road Sandwich, NH 03227

This is an open-house-style event, meaning you can come and go as needed! Volunteers can jump into potting trees at any time, enjoy live music, explore the river trail, and take part in a variety of family friendly activities throughout the day.

Why: Every spring, ReTreeUS receives hundreds of bare-root fruit trees that need to be potted and cared for throughout the summer. These trees will eventually find homes in school and community orchards - This is no small task, which is why we’re calling on our friends, family, and neighbors to lend a hand and make this possible!This is a true community effort, and we are deeply grateful for everyone who joins in to help make it happen.

 This event is FREE! We encourage pre-registration

to help us plan however Day-of Registration is also Welcome!

Event Highlights Include:

  • Pot Bare-Root Trees – Help pot up 350 large fruit trees and 700 small fruit and nut trees to establish the 2025 ReTreeUS Fruit Tree Nursery. 

  • Children’s Tree Potting Area – A fun, hands-on activity for kids and those who prefer lighter work.

  • Raffles! – Help support ReTreeUS & Enter to win fruit trees and ReTreeUS merch!

  • Live Music – Enjoy performances by White Mountain Ceili Band.

  • Story Time - An special reading by Amy Carter & Polly Mahoney of Cook Memorial Library 

  • Movement  Sessions – Gentle warm-ups and recovery with Dragonfly Yoga Barn & White Mountain Physical Therapy.

  • Face Painting & Bubbles – For the children and the children at heart! 

  • River Trail Exploration – Learn about local ecology with Hillary Behr of New England Wildlife Tracking.

  • Ice Cream - Enjoy delicious local ice cream from the Papa Bean's Ice Cream Trailer 

  • Community Lunch – A nourishing meal available by donation 

  • Hydration Station – Stay refreshed with complimentary water and seltzers.
